I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Northridge. I later received my Masters in Public Health and Masters in Nursing from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. After graduating I worked for several years serving the adult populations in inpatient, outpatient, and acute care settings. Subsequently, it was very important to me that I continue my passion for helping others which led me to pursue my goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. I attended and graduated from Brandman University and received my degree as a Doctor of Psychiatric Nursing Practice.
I work primarily with patients 18 to 64 years of age. My goal is to assist those who are seeking relief from mental health symptoms that have impacted their happiness, connections with others, and quality of life. I treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders but specialize in treating patients who struggle with ADHD, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, psychosis, mood irregularities, and PTSD. I have a background in inpatient, crisis stabilization, and outpatient settings which have given me a unique breadth of experience. I will provide a combination of education, psychotherapy, and psychopharmacological care.
I view psychiatry as a collaboration where the patient brings the knowledge of their life experiences and unique symptoms, while I contribute my knowledge of mental health, diagnoses, and treatments. Together we will create an individualized treatment plan that is tailored to fit your needs.
